Hey, thanks for taking a look at my site and well done if this is your first step towards therapy.
A bit about myself
I'm qualified in Psychology and I am fully accredited CBT Therapist. I've worked with adults and young people through various roles in the NHS before finally turning self employed to offer a variety of group therapies. I currently offer group sessions through art and creative therapies, whether in a community health setting or a personalised workshop.
I have personal experience of these conditions can have on wellbeing.
I am a self taught artist and love being creative. I like to explore different mediums including acrylics, oil and texture and I love mixed media. I paint intuitively most of the time, being guided by my current interests. In teaching art to others and sharing the therapeutic benefits, I provide holistic, restorative sessions.

"I have really appreciated working with Mel.
She has been absolutely brilliant and her whole approach feels genuinely tailored to me rather than a fixed programme. If there is part of the material I am not connecting with, she makes sure I understand the important elements but does not force us to stay on a section that is not working for me. Instead, we move on to what feels more relevant to my situation. This makes the sessions feel meaningful rather than box ticking.
Mel explains ADHD concepts in a way that feels clear, personal and easy to relate to. I have never once felt judged or uncomfortable sharing anything with her. She creates a space where I can be completely honest and that is something I value deeply.
She is incredibly consistent and always brings a calm and supportive energy. Her emotional awareness is excellent. She seems to instinctively understand when something needs a little more exploration and when it is better to move forward. There is structure in the sessions but never a rigid feeling.
I also appreciate how she links what we talk about to real life situations. It helps everything feel practical and genuinely useful. The sessions feel like a shared journey. She encourages my input, supports me in taking the lead when it makes sense and gives me real autonomy over my therapy.
Another thing I value is that the sessions never feel rushed. Even if we run slightly over time, the ending feels natural rather than cut off. That small detail makes a very big difference.
Overall, Mel’s warmth, flexibility and collaborative style have made this therapy far more effective for me than any previous experiences. I am genuinely grateful for the support she provides."
